Placeholder text My story began in 1987, when I entered the world weighing just 1 pound 10 ounces fighting for my life from the very first breath. Doctors told my mother I wouldn’t make it and encouraged her to prepare for the worst. But God had a different plan. Thirty-eight years later, I’m here writing to you, living proof that purpose can rise out of impossible odds.

My journey of serving others is rooted in my own experiences. Growing up with learning disabilities, I knew what it felt like to struggle, to feel behind, and to need someone who believes in you. That’s why helping people feel capable, confident, and supported has always been at the center of my life’s work.

For over 20 years, I served as a Special Education Life Skills Teacher and Life Skills Program Specialist, helping students build the essential skills they need to navigate everyday life. Those years taught me a powerful truth: meaningful change happens when people have structure, guidance, and someone in their corner.

In 2021, after finally getting a firm hold on our own finances, my wife and I felt called to support individuals and families who were overwhelmed by theirs. That vision led to the creation of J & A Freedom Solutions, and once again, God expanded the plan. I partnered with Metanoia and became an accountability coach, where for the last 3½ years I’ve helped clients gain clarity, break the idolatry of money, and build financial systems that allow them to live the life God has called them to live. As J & A grew, our mission grew with it, expanding into Daily Money Management offering hands-on support so clients could not only plan their finances but confidently manage them day-to-day.

At the same time, another passion was growing in me. After decades of working in Special Education, I saw firsthand how many students with intellectual disabilities entered adulthood without the support they truly needed. I knew I wanted to continue serving this population beyond the classroom helping them build real-life skills, gain confidence, and experience greater independence. That calling led to the creation of JML Independent Solutions, a program designed to empower adults with intellectual disabilities to live with independence, freedom, and purpose.

Today, both J & A Freedom Solutions and JML Independent Solutions reflect the heart of my work: to empower people with practical systems, compassionate support, and life-changing stability whether in their finances or in their daily living.
My mission is to equip individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families with tools, knowledge, and support for lasting independence, inclusion, and financial well-being.
