Joshua Lowe’s story began in 1987. Born at just 1 pound 10 ounces, doctors told his mother he wouldn’t survive. But God had a different plan. Thirty-eight years later, Joshua is living proof that purpose can rise from impossible odds. He currently lives and serves families in Columbus, Ohio. Growing up with learning disabilities shaped Joshua’s heart for service. He understands what it feels like to struggle, to feel behind, and to need someone who truly believes in you. That perspective has guided his life’s work.
For more than 20 years, Joshua has served as a Special Education Life Skills Teacher, District Program Specialist, and Regional Special Education Coordinator, helping individuals build the skills needed for everyday life. Through this work, he learned that lasting change happens when people have structure, guidance, and consistent support. In 2021, after gaining clarity in their own finances, Joshua and his wife felt called to help others do the same. This calling led to the creation of J & A Freedom Solutions, where Joshua has spent the last 3½ years serving as an accountability coach in partnership with Metanoia, helping clients build financial systems rooted in faith, clarity, and stewardship.
At the same time, Joshua’s passion for supporting adults with intellectual disabilities continued beyond the classroom. Recognizing the gap in adult services led to the creation of JML Independent Solutions, designed to empower adults with intellectual disabilities to live with dignity, confidence, and independence. Today, Joshua’s work is centered on one mission: To equip individuals and families with practical systems, compassionate support, and the tools needed for lasting independence, stability, and purpose financially and in daily life.

Aleece Lowe is based in Columbus, Ohio and originally from Southern California. Having lived and worked in multiple states across the country, Aleece brings a deep understanding of how to navigate diverse environments with authenticity, adaptability, and purpose. These experiences have shaped her belief in meeting people where they are and intentionally pouring into others to support growth and development.
Aleece’s professional journey spans both the private and nonprofit sectors. She began her career leading customer service and operations within the banking industry before transitioning into mission-driven education organizations. Today, she serves as a Chief Operating Officer for a charter school network, where she leads complex operational systems with a focus on people, process, and long-term sustainability.

Throughout her career, Aleece has held a range of leadership roles including Operations Manager, Managing Director, and Chief Operations Officer, all rooted in building strong teams and effective systems.
As a non-traditional student, Aleece earned her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arizona while starting her career and raising a family. She later earned her Master of Business Administration from Lamar University. Her educational and professional journey reflects resilience, discipline, and a deep commitment to continuous learning.

Beyond her professional work, Aleece is a dedicated mother to two sons, DeShawn and Joshua Jr. Alongside her husband, Josh, she has always felt called to help others, whether through coaching, teaching, hands-on support, or simply creating space for people to grow. At the heart of Aleece’s work is a desire to extend grace, empower others to embrace their journeys, and build pathways for meaningful personal and professional development.
